Hi, I’m Sarah! I’m an author, pharmacist, musician, and all-around overachiever living in Far North Queensland, Australia with my husband Tyson, our son Jack, and our beloved pets—our cat Gargamel and dogs Molly and Dipper. Our property even has its own dam, where we regularly spot wild birds and the occasional platypus!
My Writing Journey
I discovered my passion for writing after Jack was born. For his first birthday, I was inspired to create a fun and engaging alphabet book based on sounds. While out for a walk with Jack in his pram, the idea sparked, and by the end of the walk, I had most of the letters figured out! That book became Jack’s Noisy Day, and it was just the beginning of my writing journey.
Beyond Writing: Pharmacy & Music
By day, I’m a hospital pharmacist, a career I love. I’m passionate about working alongside other healthcare professionals and helping patients understand their medicines.
When I’m not writing or working, I’m busy with my many hobbies! I volunteer with our local historic railway and folk festival, and I’m a musician in the pirate band Whiskey Boat, where I sing and play the flute (and, of course, love dressing up!).
Life with Jack
Jack keeps me on my toes, and we spend most days exploring our local community—whether it’s visiting parks, attending events, or simply enjoying the beauty of where we live.
